On the evening of December 6, the People’s Committee of Thu Duc Ward coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station (formerly Ho Chi Minh Television) (HTV), Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 (HURC1) to organize Thu Duc Digital Technology Festival – Thu Duc Digital Day 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony of the festival was comrade Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council.

The Technology and Digital Transformation Festival took place from December 6 to 7 at Thu Duc Metro Station, with the theme “Thu Duc of love – Developing – Comprehensive digitalization”, with many activities such as: popularizing digital knowledge and skills for people; introducing and demonstrating nearly 40 technology solutions, with the goal of building digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Thu Duc Ward, Mai Huu Quyet, hopes that Thu Duc Digital Technology Festival will be a meeting place for the innovation and startup community in the area.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People’s Council, said that this is a special event marking a new step forward for Thu Duc Ward, where knowledge, science, technology and innovation combine and focusing in the locals. This goal has helped Thu Duc Ward become vibrant, where people can directly experience and enjoy practical technologies related to life.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Nhan hopes that through the event, he will bring a message to keep the innovation community afloat, promote the role of guiding, connecting, and sharing economic activities in Thu Duc ward in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.

At the event, Thu Duc Ward People’s Committee launched a 3D digital map, a map that recreates the entire space of Thu Duc Ward, allowing people and businesses to look up public works, traffic infrastructure, living places, historical sites… In addition, the ward also launched “Zalo Mini App Thu Duc Ward”, where people can access public services and digital utilities, make appointments, look up records, get health advice…

Also on this occasion, the People’s Committee of Thu Duc Ward signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT); Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway No. 1 Company signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank), opening up cooperation projects on technology and promoting the digital economy.
