WISE HCMC+2025: Finals of the High-Tech Agriculture Startup Competition
The Final Round of the “Innovative Start-up in the Field of High-Tech Agriculture in 2025” Competition was successfully organized by the Management Board of the High-Tech Agricultural Zone this morning, November 24, at the Hall of the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship in Ho Chi Minh City. This key event is part of the Week of Innovation, Science and Technology, and Creative Startup in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 (WISE HCMC+2025). It serves to introduce, share, connect, and promote creative, innovative, and digital transformation models, solutions, and products in high-tech agriculture to organizations, individuals, and the creative startup communities both domestically and internationally.

The competition is an annual national event, implemented under the direction of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; the Management Board of the High-Tech Agricultural Zone is the organizer, the Center for Incubation of High-Tech Agricultural Enterprises is the implementation unit. The program aims to promote innovation activities, support the high-tech agricultural startup community and develop the City’s innovation startup ecosystem, and spread to localities across the country.
The contest contributes to realizing the contents of economic and social development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities, creating a bridge to open up resources and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship in the community. Through the contest, typical ideas and projects in the field of high-tech agriculture are selected, incubated and honored, aiming at the goal of “Building Ho Chi Minh City – A startup city for young people”.

In 2025, the competition received hundreds of entries from many provinces and cities across the country. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, 20 outstanding projects were selected to enter the Final Round. This year’s projects clearly demonstrate the trend of applying high technology in agriculture: Artificial Intelligence (AI): Applications for quality management and production forecasting; Internet of Things (IoT): Serving farm automation; Biotechnology – microbiology in sustainable farming; digital transformation models in value chain management; circular agriculture solutions aiming to reduce emissions and develop according to Net Zero standards. These projects reflect the strong transformation of Vietnamese agriculture towards a more modern, green, smart and sustainable direction.
At the final round, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park Nguyen Duy Son said that after the preliminary and semi-final rounds with the participation of many potential projects from all over the country. Today is the destination of a journey full of efforts and breakthroughs. The 20 most typical and excellent projects have officially participated in the Final Round. Each project does not stop at the idea but is also the result of the process of research, testing, product standardization and gradually moving towards commercialization. The projects have shown excellence in the following aspects: Innovative thinking, science and clear market base. Ability to effectively apply modern technologies to production, processing and business. Sustainable economic model, with the potential to be replicated and contribute to the overall development of Vietnam’s agricultural sector.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Duy Son believes that the Final Round is not only a place for teams to demonstrate their mettle and intelligence, but also a practical opportunity to find partners, access resources, expand markets, commercialize products and continue to develop, contributing to economic growth, creating jobs, increasing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products and affirming their position in the international market.
The 2025 Final Round affirms the role of innovation in the development of Vietnamese agriculture towards modernity, greenness and sustainability. In Ho Chi Minh City – the dynamic innovation center of the country, new ideas and models have been lit, connected and motivated to continue the journey of contributing to the overall development of the agricultural sector.

Board of Judges
Not only stopping at the prize value, the winning projects will also participate in the advanced training and consulting program, access to modern research and experimental infrastructure, and receive support in completing legal documents, intellectual property, business models and product commercialization strategies. The projects also have the opportunity to connect directly with domestic and international businesses and investment funds. In particular, the projects will be considered to participate in the innovation project support program according to Resolution 20 of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council with a support amount of up to 400 million VND per project.
